    Indigo Tie Dying

    taught by Kathy Klompas

Shibori is a Japanese tie-dye technique dating back to the 8th century; the uneven lines created by this method are a visual representation of the Japanese belief in the beauty of imperfection. You will learn how to clamp and tie your fabric to create unique patterns with indigo dye.

Bring your own cloth items (up to 7 items made of natural fabric-cotton, linen, silk, pre-washed) such as a t-shirt apron, kitchen napkins or towels, etc. to dye. Or purchase a $10 scarf from the teacher.

All materials and tools will be provided for the class.
